Budapest is an ambient city in which many people reside for a long term. Transportation is extremely accessible and most people are helpful. However, one of the most important notes when moving to Budapest is to make sure that you have acquired a good amount of the native language, i.e., Hungarian. People in the capital are more familiar and comfortable with their mother tongue; therefore, it would cause difficulties if you communicate with them in a foreign language such as English or German. Additionally, researching and preparing for accommodation before are recommended. The capital city is geographically diverse, it would come in handy later on when there is location involved.

It’s simply the greatest city in the world. Amazing buildings and hidden spots all over the city, multicultural enough to make anyone feel at home, although probably Hungarian enough to depress you every now and then. It has a hill, a river, baths from the Roman era, great restaurants for any taste, and world-famous pubs of all kinds, most of them with cheap booze. I’ve been to many cities all over Europe, and I can tell you, I had great experiences in all of them, but nothing can compete with watching the sunset on the top of Gellért Hill, overlooking the Danube, and some of the best sights of the city.
