If you are moving to Tanzania you should be aware of the diverse cultural landscape, with over 120 ethnic groups, and embrace the warm and welcoming Tanzanian hospitality. Understanding Swahili, the official language, can enhance communication, and adapting to a slower pace of life prevalent in many areas will help ease the transition to the Tanzanian way of living. Additionally, being prepared for the varying climate, from coastal regions to highlands, and respecting local customs and traditions will contribute to a smoother integration into Tanzanian society.

The Island of Zanzibar is a mere two hours from my city by ferry and only half an hour by flight. Dar es Salaam has hot and humid weather most of the year. Our people will welcome you with hospitality and we have amazing safari trips. Serengeti and Morogoro are only a few hours away from the main city.

Dar es Salaam’s architecture is a mixture of African, Arab, Indian and German, although much of this is now dwarfed by towering high-rises. Many travellers bypass ‘Dar’ completely; those that linger will encounter the city’s eclectic cultural mix and languid vibe. Rimming the central area is Kivukoni Front, with a bustling fish market where dhows dock at dawn to offload the night’s catch. Excellent craft markets and restaurants abound, and nearby sandy beaches and islands beckon.
