Johannesburg is a large economic hub in South Africa, this the cost of living in the city is high. This when moving to the city one should have sufficient income to sustain them during the duration of their stay in the city. However there are a variety of attractions and entertainment areas available.

When moving to Johannesburg, one must be aware that it is a city of many diverse, yet all native cultures. The cost of living in Johannesburg is higher than in the rest of South Africa. Unfortunately due to rampant political mismanagement and corruption, the country has a worrying unemployment rate and as such, one has to be wary of all the crime that unfortunately frequents big cities like Johannesburg.

Johannesburg is a very beautiful city, the nightlife is incredible, the game reserves are a must! Housing is amazing and affordable. The parks are good to go to and most are pet and braai friendly. There is many amazing fishing and hunting trips to go on.

Johannesburg is in the province of Gauteng, South Africa. Someone moving to my city should know that Johannesburg is very busy and loud. It’s people are full of life and, always on the move. It is referred to as the city of gold because it attracts people who are usually looking for greener pastures. Johannesburg has affordable accommodation in comparison to other provinces.

My advice for someone moving to Johannesburg would be to always stay vigilant and know that life moves quite fast here. The cost of living may be a little higher than other cities, however, the atmosphere is like no other city. There are countless restaurants to choose from as well as heritage sites to visit. Overall, Johannesburg is a city full of splendor.

Johannesburg has very cheap accommodation even in effluent areas as compared to my big metropolitan. Johannesburg has very good weather all year round. Johannesburg has a perfect fusion of international and local retail shops. It is easy to find a huge assortment of local and international cuisine and globally recognized brands.

Johannesburg happens to be one of the busiest, fast paced cities in the country. Everyone is always going somewhere with something to do. As a result of this, one hardly ever gets the time to enjoy the scenery or environment. The crime also doesn’t help, but it’s not called the city of gold for nothing. People come here to make money and bring life to their dreams, even if it’s at the expense of others. But, all in all it’s a great place to be in if you’re into the fast life.

Johannesburg CBD is a populated city and has a high crime rate. The person moving to the city should be careful wherever they go. Although the city has a high crime rate, it is not a bad place to live in. It has affordable accommodations that are suitable for working people and students as well.

Property is a bit expensive therefore they must be willing to spend on accommodation. Also the climate is a bit different from other provinces in the country. It is a good place for those who are in the information technology industry; there are good work opportunities.

The crime rate in Johannesburg is horrendous, especially in the lower-income areas. Expect to see every house with at least a 2m wall surrounding it, covered in barbed wire or electric fencing. It is a beautiful city too, with trees lining almost every street: from above it looks like a residential rainforest.

Never walk under bridges, especially at night, as you could get mugged. The closer you are to the CBD, the cheaper the goods you will buy. Traffic is a nightmare at peak time, so schedule your travel times accordingly. Public transport is notoriously unreliable, though there are some expensive but fairly reliable options.

Johannesburg is a sprawling city in South Africa, at the southern tip of Africa. It has an international airport (O. R. Tambo International Airport), but it takes a long time to get to international destinations such as London, New York, Paris, Rome and Berlin. Flights are very expensive, as there protectionist regulations are in place to protect the local airline (SAA). Travel within the country is also expensive and not easy, as there is no railroad or acceptable bus service to speak of. The only options are to fly using SAA, which is very expensive, or to drive, but the roads are not good and there is a very real problem with danger on the roads.

The people in and around Johannesburg are friendly. look out for robots, red green and orange they all mean “stop” because the will be some daredevil trying to make it through before the red light. Johannesburg is a diverse city with a lot of ethnics groups you will not find it hard to adapt, it is unlike anywhere else you have been before. As South Africa’s biggest city and one with a rich history, there’s a lot to see, do and experience.
