Guwahati is one of the most important cities of Assam. The state capital, Dispur is in Guwahati.

From a scenic point of view, Guwahati has several hill ranges and numerous tourist attractions, including the famous Kamakhya Temple, Deepor Beel, several parks, the State Museum, and the river, Brahmaputra, which flows through the heart of the city.

From an academic point of view, quite a few reputed schools and colleges, are within the city, and, on the outskirts, of the city. From the career standpoint, quite a range of jobs are available, as a lot of national and international companies, have branches, in the city.

Culturally, the city is diverse. People belonging to various different religion, and races, reside here. Some of the most popular languages, used in Guwahati, include, Assamese, Hindi, and English.
