Life in my country is very fun, interesting and affordable. For a foreigner, you will love it when you visit Ghana (full of beautiful resorts). In a nutshell, you can NEVER be bored in my country.

If you’re moving to Accra, you should definitely expect a very dense population with so much business activities at the city centre. Accra hosts a lot of different cultures since it is the country’s capital and the cost of living in Accra is relatively high. Security is in a medium range and natives are somehow accommodating to foreigners. Great place for all kinds of local and intercontinental amazing delicacies.

The cost of living is extremely high, the city is overpopulated due to rural to urban migration. The seat of government is located in this very city, and so are most businesses. There are a number of tourist sites in the city as well, all adding up to create massive human and vehicular traffic at all times.

The cost of internet bundle and transport services. Also, the frequent payment of toll booth fares. Additionally I would want the person to know about the annoying noise pollution from both commercial and private vehicles. On the brighter side, there are relaxing joints and cosy restaurants that can be used to profitably pass away the time.

The city is like the hub for businesses in the country so almost everyone wants to move here which makes housing and other necessities expensive compared to the other cities in the country. Also, the best quality of amenities such as schools, shopping centers and recreational environments can be found here.

The people in Accra are welcoming, charming and hospitable. Everyone moving to my city is bound to love them. The environment is clean, safe and pleasant as well. There are about several malls, cinemas and eateries that provide food and anything one may need at affordable prices.

Not every part of the city is beautiful and not everyone smiling to them would treat them properly and decently. There are several means of transportation. Also, rent in the city varies depending on the location one chooses, however there are very reliable agents to assist.

Rent is expensive, be ready to pay for a year or two upfront. The sun can get unbearably hot sometimes. Look on the bright side though (pun very much intended), there are enough malls, beaches and lots of great places to have fun and cool off too. Transport is fairly cheap, so moving around won’t be a bother. We have enough ride-hailing services too. And there’s our epic jollof: no one ever gets over that.

Accra is the capital of Ghana. It is the most populated city in the country besides Kumasi. It provides some of the most expensive and beautiful hotels. The city is notable for its expensive style of living. Popular beaches include Labadi Beach and Kokrobite Beach.

Accra, the capital of Ghana, is the country’s most expensive city; however, it is also rich with options for daily living. Accra is also the most diverse Ghanaian city and its inhabitants greet visitors with open arms. The nation’s only international airport is in Accra; therefore, all foreign travelers pass through this city en route to various destinations. A few of the country’s major tourist sites are in Accra, adding some vibrancy to the edutainment scene of the city. As the country’s largest city, Accra has a relatively low crime rate.

Accra is the capital of Ghana. An urban setting with many populations. To reside peacefully, one must secure a job to earn a living, rent affordable housing. The local dishes are sumptuous and appeal to most people. Kenkey; made from corn dough is the staple dishes prepared by Ga’s, the indigenous settlers of Accra.

Rosemary, says: 2020

The person must understand at least the “Twi” or “Ga” language, the inflation rate of the city, the tradition and customs of the people in the city. The person should be willing to live by the standards of the city. The indigenes uphold spiritual laws and therefore any immigrant is expected to get used to those laws.

If you’re moving to Accra, know our public transport system is not the best—to put it mildly. Boarding a “trotro” (a mini-bus) is the most affordable and common way to move around. Most of the time, the trotro is crowded and hot and awfully uncomfortable to sit in. You could opt to use a taxi or order an Uber, but those are rather expensive. Point is, if you want to move around comfortably in Accra, then you better have your own car, or be ready to spend a fortune on mediocre transport services.

When moving to Accra, Ghana, you must expect to spend more money than you’re used to. Accra is an expensive city and apart from the factor of change in currencies for those abroad, Accra is a place where you need to spend more for simple tasks. Also, it’s very beneficial if you own your own car as public transport delays a lot with traffics and drivers stopping here and there for passengers. Finally, if you’re looking to work in Accra, start your search before your move as getting work in Accra can be really difficult.

Kwadwo, says: 2020

If a person moves to my city, that person should also consider the security, the location of my city, the number of people living there, the type of buildings and the cost of living. The person should be able to calculate the distance between home and his or her place of work. After considering all these factors, it should be easy to tell whether he or she still wants to move or not.

The people are very hospitable, friendly and kind. Considering rent here is not really a wise decision because it can be very expensive at times. There is also a constant traffic jam on the main highways. There are lots of nice shops and malls you can shop from and many great tourist attractions.

Philip, says: 2020

To live in Accra, it is very important that you appear confident even if you don’t know anything. For example, when asking about the cost of transportation to a particular destination, you must not accept the price given by the driver. Instead, name your own price confidently and bargain with the driver else you risk being overcharged!

Dorcas, says: 2020

Accra is a multicultural city growing at a fast pace, thereby presenting the everyday challenges of an urbanized city. It deeply affected by the socio-political norms of Ghana and creates the worst form of urbanizing challenges, as a result. It is the most expensive city in Ghana and one of the most expensive in Africa.

Maleeha, says: 2020
