Additionally, the areas surrounding uptown have been gentrified in the last 5-10 years, so there are plenty of residential buildings and luxury apartments to choose from.

This may be a welcome break for those moving from southern states, but may be considered too hot for those from northern states.

Charlotte, NC is the 15th largest city in the United States and is known for its high concentration in the banking industry. We offer great restaurants and uptown nightlife for the young and young at heart. Our beautiful neighborhoods with lots of trees are very appealing to all. We have good public transportation and access to two interstates.

Jessica, says: 2020

Charlotte is a fine city, comprised of a well-manicured uptown and several sprawling boroughs; but it lacks culture. Has largely destroyed its culture in the name of “revitalization” and overpriced housing, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. There are a few stalwart institutions still breathing with the history of the Queen City (Price’s Chicken Coop!); but they remain anachronisms in a city more concerned with newness than its past.

Charlotte is a wonderful city with sprawling towns. It is a fantastic place to raise children and start a new business. Charlotte has a phenomenal orchestra and museums for kids. The sports here are amazing with the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers organizations. Did you know Charlotte also has a professional soccer team?

The parking around the city is horrible but they usually have parking decks that cost money depending on how long you’re parked. They also have some side street parking but you have to make sure you’re on top of paying it every four hours. Other then the parking, there are a lot of bars and restaurants you can go to uptown! They also have museums you can go to uptown (they’re kid friendly too).

The current economic outlook for our city is very encouraging because Charlotte is the “Southern Banking Center” of the United States. In fact, Charlotte is second only to Manhattan in its concentration of banks and other financial institutions. Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Suntrust, and Branch Bank and Trust all have their headquarters here.
