Chandler is a beautiful modern city to the southeast of Phoenix. It has a nice fashion mall for shopping with restaurants and a movie theater. The downtown area is historic with nightlife and an old town area. If you want to work here, Chandler has several big tech companies: Intel, Paypal, Bank of America, Microchip, and more. The school district in Chandler is rated among the best in Arizona.

While Chandler is an older city it’s has a lot to do. The city has a ton of libraries, golfing areas, water parks, and movie theaters. Food is a big part of living in Chandler eating out and farmer markets. Floridino’s Pizza and Pasta, Can’t Stop Smokin BBQ, The Keg Steakhouse, and American Way Market are only a few restaurants and markets that are listed.

For people considering Arizona as their future home, summer’s heat can be extremely harsh and life threatening if one doesn’t stay hydrated throughout the day. I would advise drinking two times as much as you normally would. For runners or anyone who practices outdoor sports, please take time to allow your body to adapt before practicing for a considerable amount of time.

The city has a wonderful downtown, with a multitude of locally owned shops. The entire valley gets very hot in summer, so we mostly stay inside or seek air conditioning. The City of Chandler hosts the annual Ostrich Festival, which is quite a wonderful day out. It has cover bands, ostrich races, food and amusement rides.
