Be prepared for high rents. Coastal SC and it’s beautiful! Think huge oak trees draped with Spanish moss and antebellum mansions.

When moving to Beaufort, SC, know summers are long and hot, very hot. Summer storms roll in from the marsh like slow moving trains and cover the area with the most think humidity one has ever known. The heat is almost unbearably with it’s unrelenting grip taking hold of everything and everyone.

Beaufort is home of the famous Parris Island. This is where the United States Marine Corps trains their recruits. You can visit Parris Island any time, although they require you to get a pass before entering the base. The biggest event of the year on Parris Island is Independence Day. The marines put on a huge display of fireworks, and you will be able to hear the Marine Corps band play some of our favorite patriotic songs.

Beaufort is a tourism city. We have many historical sights that date back before the Civil War so if history is interesting to a person, then Beaufort is a great vacation spot for him or her. We are also on the water which allows for beautiful and breathtaking views.
