Milford is a very pretty little city, with a nice harbor and beaches. It is close enough to NYC to visit easily (1 1/4 hours) but a longish commute. It is close to New Haven with Yale University, so there is good music, theaters and museums in the area. Housing is fairly expensive, typical of the Northeast. We do periodically get big snowfalls in late winter and the summers can be very hot and humid.

Our city is a quaint little community by the beach, quiet and (mostly) free of crime. One should keep in mind, however, the prices of living here long term. Houses can be quite expensive, especially closer to the ocean. However, the Milford school systems offer a rigorous and wholesome educational experience to your children, and there are many great public establishments, such as restaurants and a vast library. This city has all of the attributes of a wonderful living place.
