Manila is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. There are a broad range of jobs available for expats but they do not pay on par with comparable jobs in the USA. However, the lower wage will be offset by the lower cost of living. A person can have a good lifestyle in Manila and enjoy the friendly outgoing people and the tropical climate. With thousands of islands there are many water sports and beach activities that draw visitors from all over the world and many of those visitors eventually opt to move here.

It is a large capital city with many people from all walks of life. There is a great deal of traffic and sometimes it is difficult to go from one place to another. There is a beautiful bay near the city where you can walk and see the sunset and lots of ships moving in the ocean.

Manila is the capital of the Philippines, a country known for its beaches and islands. Manila isn’t anywhere near a beach as it is a city. However, Manila is very rich in culture, having a preserved a city within a city with Intramuros, the walled city. Intramuros was built by the Spaniards 300 years ago to separate themselves from the Filipinos.

Out of all the cities in my country, Manila is well-known due to that almost all of the tourist spots are in the Capital. Such as the Manila Ocean Park, Rizal Park, Fort Santiago, and so much more. Another special thing about Manila is we do have a unique style of transportation that can be found anywhere.

Manila is the capital of the Philippines where most of the huge malls are situated where you can shop all you can until 12 midnight. It is also where the concerts are being held. It is also where the tallest buildings are found. You can travel to the other parts of the country if you would like to experience the best beaches in the entire world.

Someone moving to Manila should know the following:
1. Unbeatable heat – Since Manila is near the equator, the temperature is really high especially during summer.
2. Unending traffic on the road – One of the major problems of my city is congested roads especially during rush hours.
3. Manila has a few of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Life in any city is hard but residing in the capital of the country makes for a mixture of extreme pollution, expensive commodities, and a visual onslaught of poverty on the streets and corruption of the state. This knowledge, tinged with the third-world provincial hopes of moving to a city to pursue greener pastures, wouldn’t be enough to sway anyone. Be vigilant and be kind to yourself if you get lost in the tides of the crowd. As someone who became comfortable in the easy, countryside life, going back to the city always comes with a surge of anxiety that I’ll stay glued to the pavement, with the sky barely of sight from skyscrapers casting shadows upon me. Don’t let the city erase you. You are more than the figure you earn, the place you were born, or the color of your skin—no matter what those flashing screens tell you.

Manila is usually the jump-off point to the Philippines’ beautiful beaches including the world-renowned Boracay Island, and unique natural wonders like the Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan. However, there are many tourist spots in Manila alone, which include Intramuros, where you can learn the history of the Philippines on a horse-drawn carriage.

Manila is a vibrant and modern city with a historical touch. Being a melting pot of various cultures and ethnicities, Filipino people are known to be friendly and hospitable. The weather is typically hot, hence, a lot of people head out to the wonderful beaches in nearby towns. Manila is the place if you want to experience good food and great company.
