Exmouth’s outstanding asset is its beach; three miles of golden sand stretching to meet the estuary- where one can boat and swim- to the majestic red cliffs that mark the beginning of the historic Jurassic Coast. Moving to Exmouth is futile unless you are someone who enjoys the outdoors, since you will have so much nature on your very doorstep. Both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are a short drive away, where adventurous like to hike, climb, camp and swim to their heart’s content.

Anyone moving to Exmouth needs to know it is rapidly becoming a retirement town where most of the workforce is engaged in social care for the elderly and infirm. Geographically, it is a pleasant town with two miles of golden beach and surrounded by the wilderness of Woodbury common. Unfortunately, shopping is limited to one large supermarket and a lot of charity shops.
