It is predominantly Muslim and there are certain rules that one must adhere to, when moving there. There is also no nightlife, as in the West, such as nightclubs and bars.

Do not expect any wild nightlife as most of the population is inside their homes by 10pm and most shops close before then. The cost of living is high, so prepare yourself to spend a few bucks more than you normally would on something you consider cheap.

Bandar Seri Begawan is a small city, it is the capital of Brunei Darussalam. This city is in the smallest district in Brunei but most of the population live here. His Majesty also resides in this city. The city is relatively active during the day and quieter after 10pm in which most places close.

Bandar Seri Begawan is one of the oldest city in Brunei. It is literally where the entire Bruneian civilisation began. Nestled between the land and the Brunei river, Bandar Seri Begawan provides a pristine walking trail with a panorama of Brunei’s history. You can find almost everything closeby in driving distance. Unfortunately, the city is built around cars. Using public transportation or even walking is not the best option for you to go from one place to another.
