Auburndale is a town in central Florida, midway between Orlando and Tampa, just south of I-4. It’s very residential, has lots of new housing developments, and its location in the middle of the state keeps it relatively safe from damaging hurricanes. Nonetheless, beaches on either coast and most major tourist attractions are well within reach, and you can still get property insurance here!!! Sounds like a good spot to me!!

It’s a small town with cute little shops in the downtown area. It is an up and coming town with buildings being built outside of town causing, which is allowing for more businesses to be built. People know everyone and you can see someone you know in almost any store.

If you’re moving to Auburndale, you’ll be happy to hear how central it is to many of Florida’s major theme parks! Settling down here has the benefit of a lower cost of living without much added onto your commute to Disney World or Universal Studios. It is, however, almost impossible to get around without a vehicle in Polk County. Public Transportation isn’t that prevalent, and unless you live downtown, pedestrian life isn’t really feasible.
