Apopka is a growing community just outside of Orlando, Florida and only about an hour from the beach. It has many developments under construction along with new town squares, shopping centers and parks. It also has a strong agricultural background with many farms and greenhouses. Apopka is a great place for people with many different interests.

Apopka is a suburb north of Orlando. If you move to Apopka and plan to commute to downtown Orlando, be aware that the area’s main highway, I-4, has been and will be in a state of complete construction chaos for the next two years. Lanes and ramps close or shift overnight, detours are confusing, and drivers are constantly weaving between lanes.

Apopka is a suburban city. Therefore you should get used to having neighbors wanting to talk to you. For shopping, we really only have a Walmart, where most people go to do there day to day shopping. We have a variety of restaurants. Rumor has it that there will be an Amazon Distribution Center being built.

Apopka is known for being the indoor foliage capital of the world. This city has many plant nurseries. The plants and flowers that are assembled in pots at the nurseries are also grown locally. Tourists will find acres of land filled with plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit. It is a beautiful sight to see.
